Profile: P.U.R.E™ founder Sue Scheff™

Sue Scheff™ understands the dangers of teenage depression

Sue Scheff™ is a dedicated parent advocate who has worked tirelessly to help parents with troubled teens while providing exhaustive resource databases for improving parent and teen relations.

Sue Scheff™ gained fame in the parenting world when she founded Parent’s Universal Resource Experts, or P.U.R.E.™ The P.U.R.E™ organization is dedicated to helping parents connect and exchanged information on troubled teen issues. P.U.R.E™ also acts as an important educational resource, utilizing many experts in the area of teen and parent relations while helping parents place kids in special learning programs to help them overcome their problems.

Sue Scheff™’s dedication to spreading knowledge and support for parents with troubled teens grew from her own harrowing journey with a troubled child. Years ago, Sue Scheff™ was having major problems with her daughter Ashlyn. As a concerned parent with no other options, Sue Scheff™ decided to take Ashlyn to a special institution that promised to help cure her troubled ways.

At this specific facility, Sue Scheff™’s daughter suffered significant abuse and became extremely sick. Sue Scheff™ took Ashlyn out of the program and decided that she was going to stand up to the people who hurt her, in an effort to prevent them from hurting more troubled teens.

Sue Scheff™ challenged the organization that sent her daughter to the school where she was abused, charging they were responsible for the mistreatment of her daughter. The association took Sue Scheff™ to court and after an extremely difficult and distressing battle, she beat them back.

This personal struggle motivated Sue Scheff to create P.U.R.E™ in 2001. Since its creation, P.U.R.E™ has helped Sue Scheff™ build an extensive network of parents across the country that has brought parents and teens out of their silence to share their suffering.

Sue Scheff™ feels that her difficult experience with troubled teens and abusive organizations can serve as a vehicle to unite the collective struggles of teenagers and parents all across the country. P.U.R.E™ bases its knowledge on the real experiences of parents and teens, not the detached jargon of supposed professionals.

The incredible response Sue Scheff™ has received from her work prompted her to write her first book, called Wit’s End™. The new book will soon release nationwide and serve as an invaluable resource for those who live with troubled teens and provide guidance for both parents and teenagers
